As cathartic as it would be to know trump is dead, yeah you are probably right. It would be excellent though if he could be covertly killed by poison or something, and it look exactly like old age that killed him

MAGA would essentially implode, it’s all about Trump and when he passes there’s no one who can carry the torch. These people will go on talking about it being a liberal conspiracy Trump is dead and become even more violent.

MAGA is a classic Cult of Personality, and Trump is the man. There is no #2, or even an obvious successor. Vance, Rubio, Don Jr, and others all see themselves as the heir apparent, but the MAGA rank & file only love Trump, and when he’s gone, most of them will fade away.

Some may try to keep it together, but their hearts won’t be in it. 90% of the MAGA following will go away, leaving only Republicans who sold their souls for the worst president and the most prolific traitor in American history.

When he croaks, the knives will come out, and the backstabbing will begin. I can’t wait.

Well, yes? Cause it’s not like any of them can do anything to fpv on optic fiber. You can’t jam it, you can only hit it mid-air and it’s very unlikely. You don’t even need to be very close physically, about 5km radius ez, you don’t even need to be near at all when the assassination happens - place it on some roof beforehand and remote-control. It’s not like he doesnt show in public at all.

Making one is just a question of skill and dedication. There are 1/3 trillion Americans. My conclusion: there aren’t lot of you truly dedicated to the cause of removing him.

Don’t give in to the threats, Dear Leader, be out in the open as publicly and vulnerably as possible. If you show fear instead of living your life as normal then the terrorists winTM! You should definitely take zero precautions against these threats, you certainly won’t regret taking zero precautions against these threats.

Trump is 100000000000000% more likely to die from eating yet another McBurger in the next 24hrs than he’s to be assassinated by the Islamic Regime from now to the end of his natural lifespan.
Also, to people who’d view that as a positive because hurr durr Trump (I get it): that would lead to President Vance with a mandate to wage a war of revenge. The whole political discussion would suddenly shift from all the damage that Trump has done to USA, to destroying Iran, with a high possibility of giving more strength to republicans.

The point Iran is making is that a war does not need billions of dollars of munitions to turn. They can do a lot of damage economically. This world would have been a 20x better place if some kid just aimed 2 inches to the right.

I see it claimed that Vance would be worse a lot, but he doesn’t even remotely have what it takes to be a cult leader, which is all the GOP is now. The power vacuum could only be a good thing.

I do agree with you that Vance is a buffoon, but underestimating people like him is exactly how we got Trump in the first place. People just assumed he was doing it as a goof and had no real chance of winning and then he won. Twice.

It’s entirely possible that when Trump dies or if he leaves office (it is really depressing that I have to say if there) the GOP will just pick Vance to take his place. We know the Republican base will gobble up whatever garbage is shoved down their throats so it’s really not that hard to believe.

When will dumb Americans realise that the president does not have opinions of his own (except when it comes to gay, trans and women’s rights) the president simply does what the lobby groups and superPACs tell him to do. The most powerful superPAC in America is AIPAC, which controls members of both parties. So, both parties will bomb middle East. It doesn’t matter who you vote. It’s a very democratic system, where 1 dollar = 1 vote.

I don’t think causus belli works like that in the modern day, and we haven’t cared about legal mandates for war in the US for like 50 years.

Vance probably won’t have a political mandate for continued war because a historically unpopular and getting more so by the moment president was killed in retaliation for a war he started.

Fall from within is one thing. Being toppled externally is another entirely.

Governments don’t actually get toppled by mobs of protesters storming the palace gates. Machine guns are quite effective at preventing that. They topple when some other individual or faction convinces enough key players in the country that the new guys are a better option. The protesters only storm the gates when the army decides to look the other way. And the army only decides to look the other way when there’s some viable alternative to the existing government. No high-ranking general with a retirement to worry about wants to see the state they serve collapse into complete anarchy.

The point of this is that internal revolutions tend to be good for their people. A revolutionary movement can only successfully topple a government when they can make a good case to a lot of powerful people that they can competently manage the gears of state.

But imposed from without? You can invade a place and stick someone on the throne, but they won’t have any legitimacy. And that power and legitimacy vacuum leads to sectarian violence and civil wars. Or, as in the case of the Shah, the foreign-imposed leader maintains their position through shear force and barbarity.

Full disclosure I don’t agree with the US doing any of this, I’m Canadian and even Carneys supporting of the US right now means I’ll never vote for him again. That being said, I 100% support a grassroots overthrow by Iranians of their own fucking repressive government. Something they’ve been working on by the past few months in massive protests. I stand with the people of Iran, not fucking religious lunatics in their government.
