We just can’t allow it. No cancelling of elections under any circumstances.

It’s more important that your state authorities understand this, because elections are managed by the states. Trump can “cancel” elections, but it isn’t in his hands. The states would have to cooperate, and what if they don’t? What if they just tell him No, our elections will go on as planned?

We can have our elections anyway, no matter what he wants. If some Red states want to honor his demand, that’s on them, but I suspect that even Red states aren’t going to like it. There are plenty of ambitious MAGAs who want their shot at the corruption, too. They won’t be happy to know that MAGA isn’t accepting any new elected members.

And what about non-federal offices, like state and municipal elections? Those jobs have to be filled, too.

It’s not just a matter of saying no elections, there are a LOT of ripples from it.

Here’s the real problem that MAGA is going to have: If we get attacked by Iran, we won’t blame Iran, we’ll blame Trump. He thinks it would rally the country around him, the way they rallied around Bush after 9/11, but nobody thought Bush was responsible (at that moment). If we get attacked, it’s TRUMP’S fault.

We didn’t cancel elections after 9/11, and we’ve NEVER cancelled an election in this country, not even during the Civil War.

There is NO justification for cancelling elections, under ANY circumstances.

I don’t get that, I’ve always used them, long before AI was a thing.

My son has gone back to college in his late 20s, after having a lot more experience in everything, including writing. He’s become an excellent writer, but he has expressed that he’s worried that his younger peers are such bad writers, that the profs will think he must be using AI.

I just told him to keep talking in class, and they’ll figure out real quick that he really is that smart, and they won’t question his writing. That already seems to be happening.

It’s when the dummy shows up with a well written paper out of the blue, that their red flags go up.

2 Things:

1. They left a mirror at at least some of the landing sites, and we can bounce a laser off that mirror back to Earth. Proof that we were there.

2. They have sent probes up to circle the moon, and those probes photographed the sites. You can see lunar landers, abandoned gear, footprints, and the tracks from lunar rovers.

Not this time. 9/11 was different, and while the president wasn’t fully trusted after his coup, he wasn’t considered to be a Traitor and Pedophile, and more. People were willing to give the Republicans the benefit of the doubt. But then we found out they lied about EVERYTHING, and were wildly incompetent on top of it.

America is far more fractured now than it was then. If Iran commits a major terrorist attack on American soil, most Americans will blame Trump for inviting it.

You know that they gave him an Olympic Gold Medal for participation, otherwise we would have been hearing him whine about not having one.

Every “Prize” outfit, including Nobel, should invent a special medal just for him, with the emphasis on “Special.” That way, 100 years from now he will be indelibly associated with empty, useless accolades.

Somehow, my son grew up without being interested in videogames or social media. He’s now a world class expert in film, but he has a hard time relating to others his age, who think quality is Anime or Marvel movies. He’s gone back to college for another degree, so he’s a few years older than the rest, and he’s astonished at how unprepared they all are for college, life, or anything else.

Covid really blew a hole in the education of our country, and it hasn’t come back.

I honestly don’t know what I did differently with him than any other parent. My philosophy has always been “Love what your children love, and you children will love you.” He was always into theater, movies, music, entertainment, so we leaned into that stuff. He just never showed any interest in Social Media or Videogames, and we never encouraged it, so he never got into that stuff.

Guerilla Warfare is highly effective against big forces like the US Military. We’ve had our asses kicked by Guerillas on a number of occasions, and so have others.

It’s because our wars are really about Military Profiteering, not winning. We actually want to keep it going as long as possible. War is good for the economy.

They won because the highly motivated Russians were quickly moving toward them from the East, forcing the Germans to split their army into two different meat-grinder fronts.

America did not win the war, it was very much a product of the Alliance, assisted by strong rebel resistance.

During WW2, many Italian and German POWs were sent to America for internment, and treatment, if they were wounded. I have met a three separate couples where the POW fell in love with his nurse, and after he was sent home after the war, he came right back and married his American nurse.

Behaving compassionately toward your enemy is the best thing an Army can do to quell post-war problems. MAGA is too Sociopathic to understand that concept. They feel that the only strategy is to crush the enemy, then subjugate them mercilessly, because they are inherently cruel, and that’s their idea of fun. They don’t consider the danger in creating another generation of motivated terrorists.
