During the nazi era, comedians had a field day mocking Hitler and his cronies. The immortal joke ‘the true Aryan is as blonde as Hitler, slim as Goering, and as tall/beautiful as Goebbels’. It was funny then and still funny now. Because none of them even remotely resembled the ideal they spoke about. This is even funnier when you include goblins like Himmler who was the head of the SS when he would never have qualified to even be an enlisted SS man when he was younger.

One variation of the ‘blonde as hitler’ joke did include Röhm, with ‘and as chaste as Röhm’ being the statement.

It was and still is a homophobic joke. But given that the Nazis hated gays more than anyone else at the time, I think mocking him is still acceptable. Especially since Röhm was a power broker who was critical in Hitler’s rise to power.

St. Clair claims she was offered $15 million and a monthly payment of $100k to stay silent about their relationship and their new son, who has been named “Romulus,” the newspaper notes.

Do you know that there’s evidence supporting the idea that when you have a baby, that baby’s DNA hangs out in your body for decades (if not forever, more studies needed on that point)? I wouldn’t want any amount of Elon Musk’s DNA just like…hanging out in me forever. Ew.

Source: an excellent book called Matrescence by Lucy Jones. Came out in 2024 and does a great job of compiling lots of the latest research on pregnant bodies. It’s amazing how much is still missing and we need to learn still about half the population of the world.

Easy to say when you’ve got no skin (or uterus) in the game. Just look at how Grimes and St. Clair and their children are being treated. Both women are terrible right wing scum and had it coming, but I wouldn’t wish someone’s family/babies being manipulated and kept from them by a guy with more money than god on anyone.

Imagine your only recourse for restoring your parental rights being going to court against a guy who can afford to keep the cases going indefinitely. That is the stuff of nightmares.

Yeah, it makes me physically ill to imagine that for myself.

I feel a bit more sympathy for Grimes than St. Clair since she seemed to actually want to be with this man, as a ‘real’ family at one point and seems to feel quite desperate about how her son is being manipulated now that that hasn’t worked out. Was she being naive? Probably, but none of us can see the future. Much less imagine that someone we love enough to date and have kids with would do something so deranged as hold them hostage as meat shields.

Anyone who volunteers after seeing how he treats his baby mamas and children, though? They get no sympathy from me, personally. Sorry for the kids, tho

    Some wild stuff in there

[…] bringing the grand (known) total to 14. However, according to a new report, there could be more, as the unhinged oligarch has reportedly been known to send his semen to women he doesn’t even know.

[…] Musk has a habit of reaching out to female X users “through direct messages, some of whom he eventually solicits to have his babies, according to people who have viewed the messages.” At least one of those lucky ladies is crypto influencer Tiffany Fong, whom Musk followed on X last year. Sources told the newspaper that the billionaire had sent her a DM last November “asking if she was interested in having his child.” Wong apparently declined the offer.

During St. Clair’s pregnancy, Musk suggested that they bring in other women to have even more of their children faster. “To reach legion-level before the apocalypse,” he said to St. Clair in a text message viewed by The Wall Street Journal, “we will need to use surrogates.” He has recruited potential mothers on his social-media platform X, according to some of the people.

The Journal article notes that Musk has attempted to get all the various members of his “harem” to congregate in a compound that he recently had built in Austin, Texas.

To reach legion-level before the apocalypse

That is so psychotic. Me and most of my peers don’t want to have kids because of the state of the world. Meanwhile he wants as many as possible… to suffer? And it’s not like he’s sharing his fortune with them based on what I’ve read. He literally just wants them so they can die in the apocalypse? Does he know what an apocalypse is??

[Musk’s fixer] Birchall was involved in acquiring the property for a compound in Austin where Musk imagined the women and his growing number of babies would all live among multiple residences, according to a person familiar with the matter…Zilis lives in the gated community with their children, and Musk comes and goes. Musk also attempted to get Grimes to move to the compound, but she refused. Similarly, he tried to get St. Clair to spend some time in Austin “with our kid legion,” according to a text he sent her.

We should really keep talking about how Elon is the real president and Trump is just the secretary.

Use words that they understand, like pointing out how Musk is still having kids and it’s been 19/20 years since Trump was able to sire a kid. In the MAGA world, doesn’t that show how much more deserving Musk is and that Trump is used up?

I don’t think we can conclude it’s 0 from what she wrote. He says he pays Ashley 500k a month and a flat 2.5 million. She says he stopped paying most of it.

I’ll assume he’s being less than honest because of specific credibility issues. If she’s being honest, she gets 250k hard maximum a year. My guess is it’s actually something like 100k. That amount, while survivable, seems very ungenerous for the richest man in the world and it’s enough of a drop from 500k that you would definitely be forced to change your purchases.

EDIT: huge error. misread per month as per year.

Still, Musk, like other billionaires, does seem to be obsessed with his own longevity, as can be seen by his ever-expanding family line.

Seriously, does anyone but a few historians know what Rockefeller or Carnegie look like? Most of the US don’t even know who our former presidents were, much less what they looked like. In one or two generations, they’ll be footnotes at best. That goes for you Bezos, Dorsey, Zuck, Bannon, Stone, etc. No one cares about you.

You know their name. Just about everyone reading your comment knows their names as well. Further, when most people hear their names the first thing that pops into their head is something positive and prestigious, not the awful things they did to make their fortunes. Many of their descendants are still wealthy and powerful to this day. It doesn’t really make much difference if people spend time looking at their portraits.

Creating an enduring positive legacy takes effort, and neither Jobs or Bezos really made an attempt. Guys like Musk and Gates are making that effort and are likely to be remembered, although I think its pretty unlikely Musk will ever be able to restore a positive connotation to his name.

Musk’s effort if it can be called as such is and has been entirely commercial in nature. A for-profit company is not a positive legacy. Ford may have made cars relatively cheap and available but he doesn’t have the positive legacy of Rockefeller or Carnegie scale. Similar with Edison who is becoming more known as the ip thief and asshole that he was. Musk bought companies/ got bought by them, he really hasn’t invented anything. He had some lines of code in his original X which got bought by PayPal just in case as it was attempting similar payment processor things. Musk’s only real chance for a positive legacy via his current stuff is to actually do human Mars travel via SpaceX. Tesla isn’t self driving and is well behind competition, known for recalls and shitty quality nowadays. SpaceX is still relatively cool but we know he’s not in charge there, Starlink could be cool but it’s also terrible for actual earth telescopes. Twitter, xAI, and that medical torture company are/will be shitshows

The bill and melinda Gates foundation and the Zuckerberg and channing foundation are things that have at least some positive impact though gates keeps funding carbon capture tech instead of better greenhouse gas reduction/nature preservation.

If not for portraits on money, would we all easily remember what Washington, Lincoln, et. al. looked like?

I’m sure part or maybe most of the reason the titans of industry ‘s portraits don’t live in most of our memories is because there were much fewer photographs of them taken. I’m sure I have an order of magnitude more photographs of my child on my phone, then existed any photographs of Rockefeller.
