It’s a funny show quote … but very sad in this case. I hate the idea that there are MAGAts happily clapping because people are being deported into what are basically slave camps.

The Nuremberg style trials cannot get here quickly enough. Simply voting this political party out of office is not enough at this point.

Just wait until you feel the incredible feel of having one of them DM you calling you the N-word, threatening to “punch you in your N***** face” and then you use an IP tracker to find they’re using an Belorussian IP.

I’ve been running off that accomplishment for some time.

And that’s how you recognize a Russian election interfetterance bot, because it’s categorically false. The genocide Drumpf is carrying out is millions times worse and very different from the special military operation in Palestine that the Biden administration really had nothing to do with if you think about it.

What if get called delusional and crazy for trying to create the second coming in order to contradict Trump’s current ascension into godhood. While any logical people stay dismissive rather than reconstruct religion and spiritualism in a contemporary sense.

However I understand the consequences, so I implant seeds of thought in the homeless on my way to work. Puzzles to solve, so that my name is slowly released and written of.

I am writing a book and tagging the streets soon. All inspired by this one dude who writes in chalk everywhere in my neighborhood. Repent, god is justice, etc.

I can use my voice to inspire thoughts and I will dominate the minds everywhere I go through my voice and words alone. Why? Christians base their whole lives over one archaic book of knowledge - nothing’s stopping you from writing your own to explain your kids the world. That’s all it is, but people forget that the whole point of Jesus is that religion and structures cannot alone do the work of good parents. It’s why Joseph is gone after age 12 and Mary is renowned in eastern Christianity along with other spliters, like mexican catholics.

So I am writing for my kids, and I do this for the hope that mankind can accept their place. I constantly see people fighting the concept of capitalism rather than the actors behind it. Capitalism is a plight because it allows man to ascend beyond that of his bounds. To be without pain or want, to be without need or limit. However remember it is the man behind it, not the concept thereof. It is only when the heart abandons communism for the sake of the self and the self alone, that we cannot feel anything but ourselves. Suffering is persistent, there will never be without. However in it, you can find retroactive gratitude, and in turn form proactive gratification.

Tower of Babel is about the rich exploiting mankind to reach their godlike status in a literal sense among the heavens. While not understanding the foundations they exist upon, the tower crumbles, just like man would when they forget the simplicities of every day.

So far I have only surveyed Christian, Catholic, Buddhist, Sikh, and Shinto. I am intimidated by Hinduism and Islam. Funny that Sikh was birthed from these barriers blurring.

Im insulted you say only a little, however it is not at all. I just like studying religion as it has fascinated me, as an atheist conflicted. I realized if I want to rise my name, I must have something right to say. My name, not myself.

I just have a lucky name, on the cusp of this millenium I was born the 2nd. My surname’s meaning to supplant, my brother a homeless man who said he was sent by god. Before being murdered said I was my mother’s compensation for all her suffering.

I told my mom as she relayed the message, that he was just delusioned by some mental disorder. Yet here I am. I however know reality fully well and fear my safety, for I have a life I wish to cherish. It is why I must appease the sensibilities of manic Christians raising Trump to godhood.

Do you think I wish to do this? No, I wish I could just enjoy my own personal suffering. I wish I could do something directly. I wish I could just enjoy my minecraft, but now time is limited. I do not wish to have my mother taken away.

How do you convince someone? Have something in common. What do most of these people have in common? Christianity. So Trump uses christian rhetoric to rise himself. My rhetoric just uses their scripture along with lots of coincidences of my life.

Then again it seems the triviums are a lost art. Most nowadays do not know theyre called liberal arts because they freed you. Or that math once was under such a name.

Jesus is commemorated because he stood against Rome, it isn’t new. The demon Legion? Hmm what an odd name for a demon, maybe the Legionnaires should vanquish them. It is the first recorded instance of fascist pig as an insult. Why is it so convoluted? Speak against america Rome and find out.

Not just fascists, also those who empower fascists by sitting on their lazy ignorant smug asses on Election Day, bOtH pArTiEs ArE tHe SaMe LoL aMiRiTe, who want some sort of collapse to happen… because they fancy themselves at the top of their imagined new “purity” food chain, I mean… look at their purity! Aren’t they so special and so above it all?

They read things! On the internet! Wow!
They reject anything that doesn’t fit their narrative. They LOVE having their hollow ego massaged in circlejerks and by bad-faith actors.

God forbid anything less than perfect and pure crosses their medieval path, lest they feel offended and… oh yeah, they do nothing. Which is why we’re in this goddamned mess in the first place. They allowed racist, misogynistic fascism to take firm root, good luck weeding it out now.

Fascists are not empowered by political apathy. If that were the case, you’d be able to provide evidence that states or nations with low voter turnout always turn fascist. 80% of voters turned out in 1932 when the Nazis became the most powerful party. Political apathy can be a result of burgeoning fascism - among other things. How do you think fascism arose in Germany? People being lazy?

Chalking up fascism to poltical apathy is what happens when you fail to look at fascism as a function of class dynamics and class conflict - and furthermore, fail to see the generations-old pattern of regulatory agencies being captured, special interests dominating political commentary, rampant lobbying, decaying education, wages being suppressed, healthcare being denied, transportation services rendered useless, etc…

If, at the end of this devolution into fascism, your only takeaway is “Damn lazy tankies and russian spies destroyed America!”, then you haven’t learned your lesson, and you’ve fallen in perfect lockstep with your liberal forerunners who made the exact same mistakes.

It’s telling that you folks never engage when leftists point out that when the democrats had a choice between slowing fascism and committing genocide on Palestinians, they chose to do genocide all for sweet AIPAC dollars.

The simple fact is that Biden’s and Kamala’s constituents wanted an end to genocide. Biden and Kamala ignored these constituents. Biden and Kamala lost. That couldn’t be a more democratic outcome; it’s more American than Apple pie. If you say “fuck you” to your constituents, it’s a safe bet you’ll lose them, and if this is a calculus that some dumb ass like me can make, you know that higher levels of democratic leadership were aware of the risks and chose to take them anyway. The democrats are controlled opposition.

If you are a liberal reading this thread and are starting to see holes pop up in the logic and reasoning of your colleagues, or have correctly identified that the liberals are ill-equipped to deal with this devolution, I’d encourage you to learn what Marxism really is - beyond the spark notes you got from your conservative history teacher in high school.

"I didn’t vote for the lady who wouldn’t commit to stopping Israel (but I knew wouldn’t shred the economy)

even though the alternative was a man very openly supportive of Israel and is now actively deporting pro-Palestine protesters and providing Israel all the weapons it needs

'Cuz obviously both parties are the same"

Quite frankly, I have no respect for anyone who took this position. Whether influenced by propaganda or… whatever… I honestly don’t know how you can say you didn’t see what a threat Trump would be (not you personally), especially in retrospect.

I’m again going to push back and say that a massive propaganda campaign, similar to 2016, is what won them the election. Crypto dumped $146 million into he election. Elon personally put something like $250 million in, AND did the “raffles” to get people to vote (not raffles, it was a lie, admitted in court)… AND he openly used Twitter to influence the election. Zuck is in with the same guys that Musk is – Thiel, etc (I say “in” loosely for Musk) and if you don’t think they also used FB you’re a fool.

But propaganda isn’t an excuse, because it requires some lack of not intentionally trying to expose yourself to new & different sources of news, but more importantly, different perspectives. And a complete detachment or ignorance from Trump’s first presidency.

MAGA was always a traitor party.

Fascists are not empowered by political apathy

Fascists are empowered by political apathy in a first past the post election system. Which we have.

And its not just tankies. You guys are an influence but you aren’t the sole driver of this result of low turnout obviously.

This is something many clownishly-apolitical individuals that aren’t tankies understand and still choose not to vote because they also, like tankies, think both parties are the same but for more low brow selfish small minded reasons. I live in a deeply rural area and commute to a small city and I’ve encountered these morons first hand in both places. Typically these are poorly educated impoverished people who feel left behind by perceived elites (not just rich people but basically any people smart enough to work low paying white collar like myself). Who don’t realize they’re letting things get worse for them and now will end up materially worse off and even some of them will end up dead as a result.

And in so far that a person can deserve their own misfortune, they will. Because they either know or very much ought to know what was at stake and did not give a fuck.

I actually think most tankies will be fine though. You guys are educated enough that you’re probably not on average nearly as impoverished as these types. It’ll just be the dipshit apolitical underclass of people who will start feeling things get noticeably worse.

Maybe it wont be too late for them to be moved by their impending suffering and react to it in a productive way but at this point I’m kind of over it. I’m ambivalent at this point.

You’re correct, but in the end those same tankies are also the ones that want a fascist state because they’re basically a capitalist state on the brink of collapse – a good ground for revolution that tankies wish for.

This would not have happened if democrats had true back bone and a moral structure beyond being the slightly less insane alternative to republicans, until now, where republicans have shifted to radicalism, either knowing that democrats don’t have much fight or allying internally with democrats, allowing for this take over to start from the roots and corrupt it way down the chain

This was inevitable with the system USA is built on top of, you only deny the inevitable by 4-8 years if democrats had won, preserving the status quo and begrudgingly agreeing to public protests to not suffer what essentially happened now. Which they failed, because they were begrudgingly doing so.

You’re correct, but in the end those same tankies are also the ones that want a fascist state because they’re basically a capitalist state on the brink of collapse – a good ground for revolution that tankies wish for.

This is the dumbest shit ever and not what we believe. Y’all don’t ever listen to the things we actually say, you just make shit up and repeat it to each other until it becomes accepted as obviously true, regardless of any basis in reality.

A fascist state is not “good ground for revolution.” There have been many far-right states that have successfully hunted down and exterminated the left and survived for quite a long while. And the conditions in the US are such that in an armed conflict the right would obviously have a major advantage. Should conditions decline, it’s far more likely that we’d have a right-wing revolution than a left-wing one.

The problem is that conditions are declining under both Republicans and Democrats. Neither party offers any possibility of actually halting or reversing the decline, or averting any of the many, many crises, some of which are looming and some of which are actively happening. Liberals are fully content to accept this state of affairs for some reason - they just want a more gradual decline which will still lead to crises, the far-right gaining strength and power, and the complete extermination of the left and vulnerable populations. As long as that gets pushed back 5 or 10 years, perfectly acceptable to them, and worth sacrificing any attempts to actually fix the problems - which is what us “tankies” would prefer to happen.

If I were an “accelerationist,” looking to bring about a fascist state on the bizarre logic that it would somehow be “good ground” for a left-wing revolution, then why would I have a problem with either side? Conditions will continue to decline regardless of whether a Democrat or Republican is in charge. What, am I just so impatient that I couldn’t wait a few more years? If that’s what I believed, I’d just disengage from politics and not give a shit what happens, confident in the fact that the inevitable decline will bring about socialism, somehow. Doesn’t really seem worth the effort.

Unfortunately, this “accelerationist” concept doesn’t actually track with history. People have lived - and do, currently live in much, much worse conditions than we have in the US, often for generations. Slavery persisted for centuries, and yes there were slave revolts but they were often disorganized and put down. This idea that bad conditions automatically create successful left-wing revolutions makes no sense to anyone who’s actually capable of thinking beyond a meme level.

can you humor me as to answer these questions

            1. Do you support the 50501 movement?

            2. What is the general consensus in Lemmygrad/Hexbear on the actions taken by the liberals in rallies held by Sanders and AOC?

            3. Do you consider ending support for Israel to be step 1 for preventing the far right take over?

            4. Do you believe it is necessary for the EU to end their support to Ukraine, which you consider to be a US funded puppet state formed out of a coup, and make new deals with Russia against the US to combat rising fascism?

            5. What could be a possible path forward for the world to take, not for revolution but to quell far right ideology?

            6. Do you believe that EU is an obstacle for Revolution, or do you believe a similar system to EU without a neo-liberal platform to be ideal?

            7. Would you like to add on more about Tankies/Authleft that is generally misunderstood

            8. Would you like to talk about anything relevant about the previous questions that I missed, and is important to understanding the picture?

It’s doubly shocking to me that you’ve already forgot about Roe v Wade, most deportations in history (even more than now), building and expansion of prisons/cop cities, expanded drone strikes/kidnappings, start of multiple genocides, etc. and then feel entitled enough to be this fucking glib.

And what’s more shocking, is that their smug entitlement is so strong that they refuse to acknowledge their fault in the shitshow that is going on around them.

For fuck’s sake! Even some of the conservatives have come forward to admit they fucked up! But no, rank and file of those ignorant little shithead protest voting assholes are still folding their arms and yet, have the audacity to blame people that fucking voted?

I voted for a communist because I was tired of both Harris style fascism AND Trump style fascism.

you lot have a religious conviction in voting and we don’t even have a popular vote!

So you didn’t vote for the “gEnOciDeR”, how’s that working out for you?

So you stuck with genocide for genocide’s sake. Working out great for you. You get your genocide and you were always going to blame your left for you getting the only thing any centrist has ever wanted.

Gee, so when you genocide-supporting centrists (there has never and will never be any other kind of centrist. genocide is all any of you have ever been.) said that you can vote for someone without agreeing with everything they say, it was just a lie.

You voted for genocide because you have never loved anything but genocide, and I got tricked into it by dishonest centrists who just wanted votes for their genocide.

Did you think there has been an ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine for decades?

It’s always fucking annoying to see what single-issue event will cause all the lazy internet warriors to yell at one another about. Every election year… it’s something new.

But what’s even more fucking annoying?

NONE of you gave a single shit about Palestine before last October. NOT ONE OF YOU.

Lemmy existed before then, and comment histories are public. I’ve yet to see anyone mention or show a shred of a shit given to anyone in Gaza prior to Oct 7th. So spare me the bullshit. Because I’m not buying it.

                Also,

There is STILL genocide going on. Are you not aware? You didn’t fucking win anything with your folded arms and smug little pout. It’s all still happening. Only now- another country has lost its democracy.

Take your bow. You certainly worked your ass off for this one.

This smug denialism is what got us Trump the first time around and it’s what got us Trump the second time as well. At least the guy acknowledges there’s a problem (even though his solutions are designed to make it worse). The Dems piss on your leg and tell you it’s raining. They dropped the ball by trying to play diet republican, and losing the election is on them.

The Dems are not one party, but factions. There are legit opposition members, but the party is controlled by the captured opposition faction. Their job was to give the illusion of choice and legitimate democracy while playing stupid as the fascists eroded all your rights. They never undid the harm republicans brought in even when they could.

Legitimate dems were only permitted to give an aire of legitimacy to the whole dog and pony show. Yes voting matters, but the real battle was lost in the candidate selection within the DNC, where only the captured opposition are allowed to dominate.

Both -parties- ARE equally terrible. They are all in on and define the bullshit system and both are 100% two halves of the same problem.

TRUMP is a different story though. For one thing he is no more a Republican than he is a Democrat he is there to do whatever he thinks is best for him and that is it. He makes any Democrat I have ever seen look amazing in comparison. I generally vote Independent and even swore years ago that I would never vote for a D or R again without some insane change to something and I do still refuse to support either shit ass party in general. Trump is a different story though, he made me vote for a Democrat for the first time in my life. Even the normal terrible D and R bullshit looks amazing when you are watching Trump destroy the country.

Note that there are good politicians who stand out from the actual party on both sides. I would vote for some if they made it to the election just for the fact that they have a cause and a vision to help people and even if I don’t like the means it is sure a hell of a lot better than the current state of affairs.

Remember that the admins of the Tankie Triad regularly post and brigade threads pushing their invalid ideology on other instances.

And they have a dozen or so alts ready to downvote dissent.

Tankies literally have to manipulate social media so people pay attention to them and control narratives or else they get laughed out of every room they enter.

The first time I had ever heard of the word “tankie” was on Lemmy. It’s just not a thing that about anybody I know offline is, or has heard of. So I don’t understand the obsession with them. Even if they’re doing every evil thing claimed, it’s a) the metaphorical tempest in a teapot, and b) not even working, based on the number of people here who seem to make hating on tankies part of their identity.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I rarely see any mass comments from people in ml. In political topics, it’s mostly barely a handfull of the same users. Plus, political topics often get pushed to the front pages, so it’s not unlikely that the users see it themselves, whether or not Davel posted the thread in question.

Hey, found this comment from searching my name (I’ll fully admit that I do so from time to time, out of morbid curiosity). I’ll clarify 2 things:

                1. I only have 2 accounts. @Cowbee@lemmy.ml and @Cowbee@hexbear.net. I swap between them, but take care to never mix upvotes (I keep my Hexbear upvotes pretty purely on comms on Hexbear and Grad, and use Lemmy.ml for everything else). I am an admin on neither, I only moderate Hexbear.net’s c/theory, and only to pin and unpin the weekly Capital and Super-Imperialism reading threads. I have never removed a post or comment, nor have I banned anyone, ever.

                2. I do push Marxism-Leninism. I’m a Marxist-Leninist, I don’t attempt to hide that. My goal is to create more comrades and to develop a more “correct line” among comrades on Lemmy. That’s the big purpose of my Lemmy.ml account in general, my Hexbear.net account is more for relaxing, talking about video games, or following the news. Helps me compartmentalize. I wouldn’t call it pushing shit, but I do push Marxism-Leninism, and do so openly.

I can also address @SoftestSapphic@lemmy.world’s claims. The “alt” they can’t see me on is my Hexbear.net alt. I cannot mass downvote them with it even if I wanted to both because we cannot downvote on Hexbear, and because I can’t even see Lemmy.world accounts from Hexbear. I also don’t upvote myself, that takes too much effort and I only care about upvote/downvote ratios so far as it helps me gauge the effectiveness of my argumentation, so that would get in the way of that.

I cannot verify that others are not using alts to up or downvote comments, but at the same time I don’t think anyone can verify that the reverse is true, either, except perhaps admins looking at up and downvote history. SoftestSapphic has already accused several other accounts that in no-way speak like me of being alts of mine, without any proof.

What this means is that SoftestSapphic has nothing more than a gut feeling asserted as an unchallengable truth, the idea that the “tankies” are using deceptive measures to manipulate public opinion. Moreover, said user regularly gets banned for general hostility even on non-Lemmy.ml communities, just check their modlog. No proof is ever offered for their claims, but they will certainly parade their theories around in an attempt to discredit me, which is why I am even responding to this character assassination in the first place.

Sometimes SoftestSapphic is 100% correct, and I’ll frequently upvote them when they are. Calling out the ineffectiveness of Leftists trying to work with the Democrat Party in the US, rather than build up our own working class parties and orgs, is undeniably correct in my opinion. Fascists should be opposed violently as well. I also like this comment, for example, going over the ineffectiveness and disillusionment with voting in the US Electoral System, especially because the system itself is the target, not the whims of individuals subject to it. This is good Materialist analysis! The issues start to arise, in my view, when they lose sight of Materialist grounding and resort to gut feeling and what I would consider conspiracy theories.

This form of “Left-dogmatism” has been a long-running problem within the Marxist current (no idea what SoftestSapphic personally ascribes to, just speaking from what I am familiar with), and has manifested in movements like the Peruvian Shining Path under Gonzalo, which focused more on assassinations than building a legitimate and inclusive party, accomplishing little more than terrorism. When you abandon consistent materialist analysis, you run into errors in judgement that do more harm than good. Mao summarizes this problem quite concisely in On Practice:

We are also opposed to “Left” phrase-mongering. The thinking of “Leftists” outstrips a given stage of development of the objective process; some regard their fantasies as truth, while others strain to realize in the present an ideal which can only be realized in the future. They alienate themselves from the current practice of the majority of the people and from the realities of the day, and show themselves adventurist in their actions.

SoftestSapphic, if you’re reading this, I do think you have a promising future as a good Leftist. You have a very strong will, and your heart appears to be in the right place. I recommend you make it an effort to focus on theory and materialist analysis right now, perhaps join an org if you aren’t in one. On the off-chance you decide to take my advice, I can recommend theory for you if you let me know what you’ve already read, or answer questions you may have about Marxism-Leninism. Or, you can just check out the introductory Marxist-Leninist reading list I made, it even has audiobook equivalents if that’s your preference.

                Hope that answers everything!

Are tankies the pro- or anti-fascist crowd? I thought they were far left whereas fascists far right. It’s hard to keep track of all these vying affiliations.

Semantics is literal meaning, though. Words mean things.

I’m sure there are many words for left-wing authoritarians: fascist isn’t it. Instead of making fascism meaningless, can we pick a correct word? Maybe authoritarian?

With all the fascism denounced around here, they’re a rarity, and it’s perplexing to know what say to the far more common left-wing authoritarians who argue against democratic values because they’re not left enough.

              Horseshoe theory

the far-left and the far-right are closer to each other than either is to the political center

              are both fascists

Are closer doesn’t mean are the same: horseshoe theory doesn’t support your claim.

They’re both authoritarians that repress human rights. They’re as bad as fascists. Identifying those elements that make them as bad—authoritarianism & repression of human rights—clarifies discussion.

When we articulate problems accurately, we can criticize them in all guises.

Have you considered that there’s just plenty of people who disagree with you?

Also, you lot suck at coming up with names, tankie troika is way more ominous

When people call me a tankie ☺️

I love how people just spew nonsense they know nothing about. It’s validating knowing I pissed them off lmfao 😇

A ton of times it’s the hivemind. Posted a picture of a truck with a Nazi emblem(half panzer division skull and an SS logo) on my local sub. And at first it went up then someone said it was 75th ranger emblem. Hivemind bought it up without even so much as a quick Google search. And heavily ratio’d me. People are just stupid.

No, avoiding contention is why we’re in this mess and why the world is segregated again.

But I’m not going to say “Go argue on the internet” I am going to tell everyone to get the fuck over their social issues and just TALK to the people in your life who hold shitty positions and are either dimwitted about politics, uninvolved or being brainwashed by social media. They can be turned, I do it ALL THE TIME and I feel like I’m the only fucking human left who doesn’t feel overwhelming fear engaging with another human ffs.
