I couldn’t find a more appropriate place to post this. It’s a bar in Reykjavik. Cool place, would recommend.
- How is Iceland? Always heard good things! - Great so far! There are a ton of fellow tourists and it’s a bit pricey, but it’s beautiful and the people are very nice. Plus where else can you eat a puffin? - Puffin are friend not food - What about the cereal?

- Oh shit, no puffins for me after all. Thanks for sharing this.

- Icelanders eat Puffin. - Aaand the other shoe drops. - people eat birds - Dear god those devils lol

- Why the fuck would you eat a puffin?? 😭 I was about to ask how the food is but that kinda answered it - Hey now, they also eat fermented shark - “would you like some fresh shark?” - “Hell no bury that sum bitch for one to three months then hang it up for a few more then get back to me”
- Eating both of those sounds pretty fucking metal

- My friends (one of whom was vegetarian until fairly recently) went to Iceland recently and said that puffin was absolutely delicious

- Bit pricey is quite the understatement. - It helps that we’re from a high cost of living area. Honestly, we’re paying less to eat out here than where we live. The tourism industry is absolutely gouging, though, and I hate what that’s doing to the economy for locals. - Bruh where the hell do you live. I live in sweden currently and the next time im going to iceland i will unironically bring food with myself because its so expensive. Its interesting because the plane tickets and hotels arent even that expensive if you book them right. Tho next time i might try camping or going with a house car or what they call it. - The United States in the Seattle, Washington area, land of the million dollar starter home and $8.00 cup of (shitty) coffee. - Didnt know it was so bad there…

- a bit pricey - Look on the map for Bónus supermarkets, I found them to be the best value but with a good range of stuff to try. I thought the rye bread (Rúgbrauð) and skyr were particularly delicious in Iceland. - Yeah, if you’re there for more than a week, it’s probably worth getting accommodation with some sort of cooking facilities. Otherwise you’re eating out every day and that gets expensive real fast.
- On our trip a few years back we got some simple pastries, sandwich supplies, and snacks from Bonus to save money and I never felt like we were missing out on good food. Even as a discount grocer everything we got from there was super good.

- The burgers are always great all over Iceland, although they certainly know how to charge for them… - I always make a trip to Hlöllabátar in the little concrete square down the end of the main street.
- I highly recommend the lobster soup from Seabaron if you’re into that - I’m totally into that, we’ll check it out. Thank you for the recommendation!

- Where Ice? - In greenland - Where Green? - In iceland - Where ice? - Melting into the sea mostly?
- In Greenland
- Ice?

- Well you see, the Vikings discovered Iceland and Greenland and named them accordingly. - My dream is that if the nordic league ever develops a space program and creates a colony on mars, they should name it Blueland just to keep up with the bit.
- On the glaciers. For now.

- They do love their metal in Iceland, must be named after Motorhead Lemmy
- Menu: Beans - Dress code: Jeans - No restrooms

- While you’re there, visit the Big Lebowski bar.
- Make sure you get a hotdog from one of the food trucks downtown and try going to grocery stores if you want to save money
- I bet they serve drinks that are ALMOST like the drinks you remember back home, but not quite… - Also…everyone is doing some linux fuckery on a laptop, so they have no idea how to order milk without wearing a cape. - I’ll have the Appelsín. It’s like Tango used to be before they took most of the sugar out of it and replaced it with sweeteners.
