I really really think people over estimate the power of martyrdom.

Do you know who Fred Hampton was? If not, proves my point. I think most people don’t know who he was, and he definitely would have done more for the world if he hasn’t been assassinated.

Hampton was black, and was assassinated when the government was kinda-sorta actively trying to tamp down on civil rights.

Kirk was white, and was assassinated when the government was kinda-sorta actively trying to stir up white suprematist and fascist sentiment.

      They are not analogous situations.

Yeah, martyrdom is over-rated. It worked when people thought martyrs would be the source of miracles, but now it’s what? A propaganda tool? They have much better tools than that pointing to a dead guy.

No, Charlie Kirk had taken Rush Limbaugh’s position as MAGAs primary recruitment and indoctrination officer. He was instrumental in creating young male conservatives. He was very young, and like Rush, could have held that position for decades, bringing millions into the movement.

Now that’s finished, and they will have to groom a new recruiter. It looked like Ben Shapiro for awhile, but Kirk passed him up. Now they’ll have to back to their bench and try to prop up someone new.
