Gentle reminder that not everything is about sex. It’s totally fine to fall in love with someone or even be married to them workout having sex.

Yeah, I remember watching that and was thinking, “now this guy’s just some schlub with no redeeming characteristics, change him back dammit.”

There was an interview with Emma Watson around the live action movie release where she commented along those lines. Something to the effect of, “It’s sad in a way when he becomes human. I was just thinking, ‘You were quite nice before, actually’, you know?”

It also adds some new flavor to the reason why when Gaston picked up one of her books and he started twisting it around left and right to try to make sense of it.

I can only imagine what was going through his mind.

It’s beast-iality, definitely, but he’s an intelligent adult and can clearly communicate his desires, so it’s closer to xenophilia (meaning actual extraterrestrials, not just humans from other cultures)

Its anthropomorphic fetishizing of animals. That they would still fuck a dog as long at its human enough, is revolting.

I believe bestiality is wrong, solely because animals can’t consent, and for no other reason. In a hypothetical scenario where the specific animal in question can consent, you still believe bestiality is wrong, so clearly you have another reason. Why? What is that reason?

And you better not say “because it’s disgusting”

Oh what’s that? Because you personally find it disgusting? How’d I know you were gonna say that?

Well I’ve got news for you about your personal opinions and the ethics of insisting that other people conform to them.

A lot of kink is disgusting to most people. That doesn’t make it unethical. If someone likes getting peed on, or tasered, or verbally degraded because of their race (all things I’ve met people who are turned on by!), and they have a way to communicate to the person doing those things to them that they’re not having fun anymore and want it to stop, and that person actually does stop, and does so immediately, there’s no harm done.

No furry, no matter how depraved (and fewer furries than you’d think are horny for animal characters at all, much less quadrupedal ones), will ever actually fuck a dog, because real animals cannot consent and we know that. Furries who do actually fuck dogs get disavowed by the entire rest of the fandom almost immediately (see Hypnotist Sappho). This scenario is therefore entirely hypothetical, and if it’s still morally wrong to you and you don’t have an answer as to why, I think you have some work to do regarding prejudice.
