Next will be a pawprint of my now-deceased cat. She had a cool pattern of black and pink on one paw that I think would be a nice tattoo.

My goal is to have one memory of each of the important animals in my life tattooed somewhere. But tattoos are expensive, so it’s an ongoing project.

Does yours also insist on using disappearing ink? I get that we have to be covert, but I have to get mine redone every week or so and it just seems impractical.

Fortunately my handler is posing as a tattoo shop owner, so I get a discount.

My goal is poisonous plants, I wanna start with belladonna on my shoulder, but later I also wanna get some oleander, and I haven’t decided what else yet for the other limbs. It’s expensive though, so I haven’t gotten any tattoos yet. Soon, I have plans.

As someone with a lot of tattoos, I’d recommend getting a small simple one in a location that’s usually covered by clothes for your first one … some people just don’t take to the experience for whatever reason or find that they don’t enjoy the result like they thought - committing yourself to a whole project right from the start might not work out well.

Every plant is poisonous if you manage to eat enough.

But seriously I love the idea! If I ever get a tattoo (unlikely, but who knows) it would probably be something planty.

For a poisonous plant that’s not commonly known I recommend Daphne gnidium. It was used to catch fish around here. Flowers have a hypnotic smell.

One of my upper arms has a beautiful photo realistic scene, that was done by my ex as a goodbye present … it was done in one 12 hour session, but doesn’t go around the arm as far as the ones I have on the other side do.

So, I’m going to ask an artist I trust to make a sort of picture frame for it, plus have something that wraps around all the way as a band, so it doesn’t fall off :-)

After that … I’m pretty well covered on my top half (neck, chest, top half of my back, both arms, hands) so either I’ll get a tramp stamp or start on my legs a little bit. No rush.

When I met her she already had a plan in motion to move to another city, to start a tattoo parlour of her own (since this area is already saturated with them).

I fell for her pretty hard - the first time we met I told her she could draw anything she wanted on that whole area … she put it off the whole time we were together, until the day before she left.

It’s a really beautiful tattoo. I still miss her a lot.

My first tattoo was done in a shack with a DIY tattoo kit ordered online.

Afterwards we had DIY beer made with a Mr. Beer kit ordered online.

I’ve been fleshing out some naturalist motif of a skull on a pike wrapped in ivy growths. Or on a staff. Maybe with a snake, in homage to the Rod of Asclepius. Figure it’s a good forearm piece.

Or a bird. It always comes back to birds. There’s just a bird for every feeling. A peregrine in a dive, a phoenix taking its throne, a blackbird living life, a raven brooding, an owl observing, a hawk soaring, a seagull eating French fries, a vulture scavenging, a hummingbird hovering, a parrot shouldered, so many options.

First one was a simple tree. I like trees.

Next one is going to be a possum dressed as a medieval knight with a lance riding on a snail.

I do not have any tattoos yet, but if I start, my first one will be the text “Don’t panic” in big friendly letters. Probably somewhere on my lower arm, for me to read if necessary.

I got a musical rest symbol on my wrist to try to remind me to stop and take a breath too! Problem is I never really ended up mentally practicing with it lol. I like the idea tho.

In my case, it is a reference to the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Hence the big friendly letters.

Do you know the concept of kintsugi? It’s a Japanese concept where when a dish breaks, you don’t glue it back together with super glue. You glue it back together with gold. The dish is reformed, but its flaws are also on display as a thing of beauty.

Anyway, I know that gold is not necessarily something that would be conveyed well or stay that way in a tattoo.

But I am wanting a kintsugi pot with a bonsai tree growing out of it. The only color will be in the cracks or the pot. The rest I want in black and gray. I’m wanting it on my thigh.

Problem is I have been putting off getting more tattoos for the summer because you can’t swim for like 3 weeks ish after getting one. But I’m a very impatient person!!

Lmao I didn’t think of that. To be fair this is the longest I have gone without getting a new tattoo since starting to get some in October lol

Oh yeah, it’s a bitch if you’ve sweated off the protective plastic by the time you get home, and then it takes longer to heal after :-/

I can’t say I ever paid a huge amount of attention to the sun exposure advice, after the first “shedding” I just use sunscreen.

That’s partly because some of my tatts are on places that are hard to cover, and partly because I live in a semi-tropical zone so apart from the middle of winter I’m usually in short sleeves, lol

I have no intention of getting a tattoo, but will probably have a number tattooed on my forearm when I get hauled away to the Woke Detention Camp.
