The Federal Communications Commission has greenlit Paramount’s petition to allow foreign investors to own at least 49.5 percent of its equity—should the media behemoth successfully acquire Warner Bros. Discovery.

I’d love to see this smug asshole thrown in prison. The way douchenozzles like him pretend they are being above board on everything while gaslighting everyone.

Someone has to implement tiny-d donnie’s vibes, though.

Yes, we know he’s all-in on the actual cancel culture that cons crave, so donnie picked him for that reason.

Middle Eastern royalty, Putin, and Xi Jinping can now influence US elections just like the US can influence Canadian elections through Postmedia Network. The prize of national lawmaking now goes to the highest international bidder. Very consistent with Jabba the Hutt willing to have the oil industry keeping him “elected”.

China’s game may be to let the rest of the world eat each other and then step in to the chaos left.

It’s probably in their interest to continue having a lot of stupid Americans with money to buy their products while they hold our debt. Unless another market exists to replace us, we can’t be allowed to completely collapse. Not that it’s much better being in limbo.

While China definitely wouldn’t want to lose the US market entirely, I’m pretty sure at this point they consider the EU market a lot more important. Which is why they won’t allow Putin to nuke Kiev.

Will it? How much money do they have after all the necessary oil infrastructure repairs? Or are they giving up on oil to become American oligarchs?

SA has majorly diversified their holdings over the last decade or so. They’re no longer solely dependent on Aramco (although still majorly). Specifically they own a lot of the global media landscape, both outright and through more… obscure means.
