There looks like there might be enough mayo to add an M in there.

It’s just step 1.
Once you get the big players with heavy wallets out of the way, then you can go after search engines that list it. Search engines probably don’t have enough motive to fight it, and the big players already packed their bags. Once it’s no longer on Google/Bing it may as well not exist for the vast majority of people.
There was an article about one of the masterminds behind these laws that got secretly recorded and he basically confirmed what I just said. ID laws are the start.
We could take like some of or all of the 20B we spend on oil subsidies and subsidize electric instead… that seems like a good answer to me.
Honestly it’s probably more likely that China bans the US users first. RedNote is openly CCP incorporated and has very strict community rules and heavy censorship. Cleavage is censored, I was cracking up because people’s profile pics got denied and they couldn’t understand the Mandarin to know why.
Yeah, but those affiliate links made people bank, especially during the holidays.
I actually got like half my ideas and my daughters from the tiktok shop. (Then went and bought it on Aliexpress)
Let me know if it’s worth the time.
It’s very real… anyone on tiktok can see all the videos where they are posting their RedNote account info for their followers to follow.
Does it have android app?
It’s a protest, it won’t last forever. Americans aren’t going to learn Mandarin fluently.
99% off the comments are in Mandarin, and like 50% of the UI is still in Mandarin even from US app stores.
I think that’s the point… Its a protest, and RedNote doesn’t even pretend that it isn’t a part of the CCP. The tiktok users know this, they are just trying to give the biggest middle finger they can.
My finance teacher said that reinsurance often used financial derivatives to offset risk… is that true? Just made me have a wild flashback to like a couple decades ago.
You heard me.
And it seems to be working… just saw a politician say that they need to re-review the tiktok ban citing rednote
Sticking their middle fingers to the government? I even saw a trend where people were talking about live streaming on red note and just walking through all the government buildings near them.
A lot of them are going to it because it’s Chinese Spyware, just to be petty to the government.
And Tiktokers are moving to RedNote lmao. It hit number one download on Apple I think recently.
I actually think it looks neat.
There is over 20k characters and most people know or use like 2 or 3k of them. Educated Chinese know like 6k on average. And it seems every decade the number goes down.
Curious what it’s evolving into.
Honestly if you have a decent exhaust fan and take short showers the humidity build up can be low.
Now I am wondering if there is a way to blast a message out to various micro blog platforms at once. Kind of like Ryan’s Woof idea from the office
I think most people know it too. They protest because they have already got hacked a dozen or two times, advertisers steal all data not locked down, and the government scoops up all of that. So they question “what can China do to me that hasn’t already been done. My data and privacy has already been made worthless”
