He doesn’t say if the other things mentioned are his, just that he has them now.
This was my 16 year old Foster son’s takeaway from his convict mentor. His mentor went to prison, then he turned his life around and makes good money and has a family. My son decided that that meant it was an acceptable life trajectory… a good one even… to go to prison. That he could turn his life around without becoming a felon just didn’t compute.
10 years ago | had a wife, family, car and a great job.
Now I am addicted to drugs.
Is this a cyclical thing? Cause, hey, good news in ten years!
It’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all?

When you lower the bar, it’s much easier to jump over it
I’m gonna read this in the most charitable way cause I’m sure it was a joke. But the bar one must hurdle to address an addiction is infinitely harder than anything mentioned in the image. And then once a person is sober that bar needs to be cleared daily for a long time till it starts to get easier.
So yeah its a funny joke, but just in case you were being a smart ass, it’s not easy to get sober.
