        In America is very common to put linoleum in the kitchen. It could be tile but it looks like vinyl to me.

          to me, the wildest part about this is that, where i live, linoleum and vinyl are entirely different things. linoleum being „all natural“ eg sawdust, linseed oil and a hemp mesh backing, whereas vinyl is „just“ plastic, to the point that you can distinguish high and low income by whether linoleum or vinyl is used.

      It’s not like the floor is going to break, should be good until there’s several giant wear spots in the main thoroughfare, then just a few years until grandpa is gone and then grandma can replace it.

      Not speaking from experience or anything.
