I keep telling people: if you live in town go outside at like 2 am and fire a couple round into the dirt. Regular gunfire reduces property rates and can be used as leverage to keep rent low.

Please read your local laws before doing this, as discharging a firearm within city limits is a crime in many places.

I have been informed this is a crime. I quite frankly am shocked and appalled at my suggestion. Unfortunately my fingers are cramping quite hard so I don’t know if I’ll be able to remove or edit my post, it’s quite tragic.

I knew your comment was tongue in cheek, I just wanted to add a disclaimer for anyone who thought it was a good suggestion to lower their property taxes.

Wasn’t trying to be disrespectful, just gotta be safe online :) I really did appreciate the disclaimer, I should’ve added it.

Economic collapse? Sure, but for a new housing crisis we don’t have enough home owners… How about a nice cost-of-living crisis instead? Or perhaps the good old rent-rising, salaries-stagnation crisis?

Almost certainly an economic one. Most of our “economy” (stock value, but the media and owners treat this as if it’s the economy) is tied up in just a few companies, and all of those company’s value are most AI. I’m reasonably confident there will be an AI crash, which will tank stock values and everyone with investments in these companies.

I’m not so sure if there will be a housing market collapse.

The writers of Earth have really given up. They kept implying some cool sci fi universe flip but it’s just cyberpunk dystopia with repeating plot lines.

Best part is that the leader before the coup was actually very progressive and now they have… The revolutionary guard. So things went from good to bad to worse between that guy, the shah and now the current regime, all thanks to the anglos.

This is already the second meme I’ve seen with that joke, just different examples. Seems like the invasion in the Middle East triggers a whole lot of dejavuing. 🥴

Now I wonder what modern horror movies I’ve got to be up on to understand all the references that will inevitably be in the new Scary Movie.

Our precious American culture of escapism and privilege. ☠️ We literally fund the world’s evilest to have the ability to be evil and pretend we don’t.

Idk I almost got laid. Which…

Oh. Oh fuck. Oh my fucking fuck. I swear to fucking God.

If, in two weeks time… Good Lord. I might be in a simulation.

The universe used up too many plotlines.

What happened to you 20 years ago, just after almost getting laid?

      We need to know!

No, no sorry for the confusion.

The resources are being recycled. I lost my virginity in two weeks 20 years ago.

Im in a relatively new relationship that is… progressing at the exact pace that it will be in the same timeline. Though it could literally be next week depending if I screw shit up enough or not.

Ah America. If there was a war twenty years ago in North America (Canada) and a war today in North America (USA), you might not feel like oh shi Deja Vu.
