Some people are just so anti-USA and anti-israel that they can’t see further than “USA and Jews bad, everyone else good”.

Reminds me of when the US took out Saddam, the US was wrong for invading Iraq. But saddam was not a good guy and deserved to die. Both can be true. And I do remember during the Iraq invasion people defending Saddam, not the people of Iraq but defending Saddam as a guy who was good cause he opposed America

Conflating Israel and Jews is called antisemitism. If someone is just anti-Israel, they don’t become antisemitic from that (but it sure invites a lot of antisemites who smell a possible convert)

Not quite, cause semites also includes Muslim Arabs, also most Anti-israel people are just anti-zionism, The thing is most people that are anti-israel are just anti-jews because they know nothing they talk about.

When I was 14, I also wisecracked that, but then

            1. I learned that linguistics is a descriptive discipline, not a prescriptive one: meaning correspond to usage, not what a word is “supposed” to mean
            2. I realized that words often have meanings that don’t correspond to their literal translation

So no, antisemitism doesn’t refer to any semitic tribes that aren’t Jewish.

I agree with you that words meaning is a thing of context, and what matters the most is what people imply when they use it, generalization usually takes a person to the wrong path; the only real guide for almost everything is the context.

IMO, anti-Semitism is more used to refer to anti-muslim sentiment than anti-jew sentiment, but I guess the location on earth that I walk matters a lot.

A region at the north of south America where Muslim is broadly practiced, not so many Jews here, and the word Islam-phobia isn’t popular.

Like a brainwashed American would know anything about him. other than Zionist / Pahlavi propaganda about how evil he was.

He was a spiritual figure to millions. A poet and a scholar.

I should add he was the only obstacle, through his Fatwa, to Iran pursuing a nuclear weapon. Thats now history thanks to Netanyahu and his paedophile puppet President

      Edit: fucking morons

A revolution caused by western powers actively destabilizing Iran mind you. Not dick riding the ayatolah but they are a direct result of foreign meddling.

Iranians outside Iran hate their country like the Cubans of Florida do. You can’t trust anything they say.

You would understand better if the Jews had killed the pope and were dancing in the streets and Zionist media were labeling him a murdering paedophile who deserved to die.

You have to really go out of your way to be this uneducated, like really there are endless sources on the atrocities and abuses by the royal guard of Iran and the ayatollah, you have to avoid and refuse to read them to have your viewpoint.

P.s Castro was also a murderer and madman, you’re just too young to remember him as anything but the bearded old man with a cigar , you didn’t see their brutal rise to power, so all that death must have been a Jewish lie right?

You think the Savak under the Shah was any better?

The West’s perception of Iran has for over 40 years been steered by Israel fanatics who despise Iran.

You know what I think? I think it’s none of our damn business. Do you see Iran sending troops to stop Mexican cartels? Maybe it’s not americas damn job to police the other side of the world, especially when their own country is a dumpster fire.
This past few years even the American left has decided they’re the world police.

My perception of Iran from the last 40 years has been steered by Iranians i personally know who fled the regime. By your logic let’s ignore all the people Fidel Castro murdered and imprisoned illegally for decades, cause our views of him are painted by fleeing Cubans. You are likely too young to remember the actual atrocities, murders, rapes, mass executions. So you think it was bloodless and “the country seems chill”

Castro is a good comparison, all you guys remember a quirky old bearded man with a cigar who looks harmless. Cause you weren’t around for the bloody rise to power and executions

They were protesting the collapse of the currency which was engineered by the Americans. Scott Besant openly admitted this on TV.

              https://youtu.be/HDB2SDdzoX8

Mossad then instigated violence to encourage state repression to give Trump a justification for launching air strikes. Pompeo even tweeted about their role in the riots.

Millions of people.have in fact gone out into the streets in support of the government, especially since the murder of the Supreme Leader but this has ZERO coverage in Zionist media.

Sure they were! Nothing happening over there had anything to do with the women that were kidnapped, raped, and/or killed in the custody of the Guidance Patrol! Everybody celebrated these as beautiful moments of religious expression!

You should really stop acting like a country is some monolithic thing where everyone thinks and behaves the same. That’s not how it works anywhere. C’mon big dog, a little nuance isn’t going to hurt you.
