trying to maintain a nicer, more fun feed than i ever really got anywhere else, whats your favourite non political communities on here and why?
I started !webgames@lemmy.zip to replace the reddit sub but I only posted a few things there. I like more dedicated games in general but sometimes browser games are a brief fun distraction (although there are definitely extensive ones as well).
For those who are viewing a community and it looks empty, that means you’re the first person from your instance to have ever visited that community.
If you decide to subscribe to it, you and everyone else from your instance will start seeing new posts that gets posted after you subscribed.

My life is falling apart. The last reliable and consistent thing in my life is the owl picture instance. I don’t even like animals.

I’m glad I serve a wide range of functions with my owl stories, but you can just talk to me about non-owl stuff if you ever need to.
I ain’t gonna burden you with that buddy, it’s just been a really rough year. Just keep doing what you’re doing. Hopefully the owl pictures will get me through to the point I can return to my Aztec studies.

Try viewing it locally. It does appear empty from your instance.
This has happened to me when on a small instance from which no one has viewed a community before. Once the insurance has loaded the community at least once, stuff should appear.

It’s just an unfortunate problem with the Fediverse that we have to live with, unless someone is able to solve this issue in the future.
