Among the locations highlighted is the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, the headquarters of the US Department of Defense and a central symbol of American military power.

Naval Station Norfolk in Virginia was also identified. It is the largest naval base in the world and hosts the highest concentration of US Navy forces, with tens of thousands of personnel and constant air operations.

Other facilities mentioned include Kings Bay Naval Base in Georgia, a key hub for US Navy submarines, and several major Air Force bases tied to America’s nuclear deterrent.

These include Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana, home to the 2nd Bomb Wing, and Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, where the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber is stationed.

US Strategic Command, which oversees nuclear deterrence and cyber defence, has also been cited, along with communications sites such as the VLF Array Lualualei in Hawaii, used to transmit orders to submerged submarines.

Cold War echoes Further locations named in past broadcasts include Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota, Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana and Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming.

These bases are all linked to intercontinental ballistic missile operations.

Russian state TV presenter Dmitry Kiselyov previously went even further, referring to defunct installations such as Fort Ritchie in Maryland and McClellan Air Force Base in California, as well as Camp David, the US presidential retreat.

While the Kremlin has issued only ambiguous official nuclear threats, experts say the messaging reflects a deliberate attempt to revive Cold War-style pressure on Washington.

“It’s his fault for not stopping me from being elected!”

Naw, that’d require too much self-awareness.

I was worried after he stopped making weekly nuke threats for a while there. Glad were back on track.

Damn the cold war is back, but this time Hollywood sucks now so we probably won’t even get any good movies out of it.

Well, I wasn’t going to live forever. If I go for having convictions and it takes my fascist government with me, well then I can stand tall when I stand naked before the gods.

So not only are they telling us what we already know, they’re also telling us that their intelligence is significantly out of date.

Nothing these Russian equivalents of Fox or Truth Social assclowns say has any informational value at all. It doesn’t indicate real Russian plans, says nothing about what Russian intelligence knows or doesn’t know, it’s just noise.

The intended audience here is the Russian domestic one.

The TV show probably has no privileged information on war plans. The point is to create a narrative for the Russian public.

I’m kind of wondering if the plan here isn’t to goad trump into retaliating by blurting out where our own missiles are pointed at.

They threw some obvious ones out there like the Pentagon (duh of course they have missiles pointed there)

And then padded out the list with some defunct sites to make the list longer because someone like Trump is going to want to one-up them by listing at least that many of our targets. Russia probably doesn’t actually have missiles aimed at most of those places, but this way they don’t actually have to give up any of their actual targets.

And trump will probably take the bait to beef up missile defences around those defunct sites, wasting money, time, manpower, and resources that could be better used anywhere else.

Trump’s more likely to surrender than to retaliate. He’s shit-scared of any sort of confrontation unless his side has an overwhelming advantage.

Or… that’s the impression they’re putting on public television.

Name credible and strategic sounding targets on domestic TV, while ensuring the actual targets make more sense.

What would make a better target than our leadership and nuclear response sites?

My suggestion would be to just lock Putin, Trump, and the CEO of Chevron in a room and nobody leaves until they can fight this out (if there even is any actual disagreement or fight going on between them, which I’m not even 100% sure).

Regardless of what is actually going on, and whatever they’re forced to do amongst themselves, it seems like a better alternative than the plebs potentially wiping ourselves off the face of the earth by fighting any more wars on their behalf. But that’s just me. I’m pretty irrational that way.
