i got under honorable conditions by not shaving and just being a general piece of shit. i didn’t do anything explicitly illegal, mind, but i wasn’t a good little airman anymore, followed orders to a tee, but never went above or beyond that. sergeant didn’t like that very much and i was out after a few more months.
didn’t get the GI bill, but did manage to get VA healthcare and a disability stipend for service connected depression.
Fun fact, you can’t just quit. I tried. You can desert, but then you’d risk going to prison.
