I made a move on a coworker I really like. Asked her if she wanted to fool around because I thought I would only be around for another week or two. But now that I’ve found a new place to live around here, it made me realize how shitty my train of thought was to put her in that sort of position.
Looking back on it, I think either outcome would have probably been bad for us just because of transportation issues. But for the record she did turn me down, about 5 minutes after I prompted her she said “welp, time to go back home to xxx” and I pursued no further.
Perhaps. But you realize it now, and you also have the opportunity to take things in a different direction if you want.
Communication is important. Admitting when you did something that you think is wrong is good, we all make mistakes. Tell her that you’re sorry and why, and let it be. Either she will forgive you and you guys can move forward if it works, or she won’t want anything to do with you, and both are fine. Emotions are complicated.
Yeah I apologized the next night, but it seems we’re still not really on speaking terms which sucks because I really enjoyed our banter. Hopefully we move past it as we’re coworkers, but I’m ready to accept that it won’t be repaired so easily.
I’m still working on how to bury my feelings for someone for their sake (and mine I guess) but fuck its hard when you crush on someone that hard.

Was it a mistake because she turned you down or because she accepted?
