Vishwash Kumar Ramesh says he thought he was dead as plane exploded but escaped through opening in fuselage
The British survivor of the Air India plane crash has described the horror of watching people “dying in front of my eyes”.
Vishwash Kumar Ramesh said he thought he was dead when the plane crashed into a building, before realising he was alive and escaping the wreckage.
Speaking from his hospital bed, the 40-year-old told DD News the plane felt like it was “stuck in the air” shortly after takeoff before lights began flickering green and white, adding: “It suddenly slammed into a building and exploded.”
I can’t believe anyone survived that. That’s crazy.
That guy is both incredibly lucky, and going to be cursed with some super fucked up trauma.
He looks so sad. I hope he has more loved ones around him to help him heal.
Especially as his brother was with him on the flight.
That is another level of gruesomeness.
Yeah, hearing more than 200 people die around you, and seeing it happen, would be gruesome. That explosion was massive, incredible he didn’t experience burns.
Ok so this is a bit clearer than yesterday’s news that said he opened the emergency door and jumped out before the crash.
Seems kind of suspicious he should probably be investigated.
