    This sounds like hyperbole really. I really hate the guy (and I think I might have ASD) but I don’t think this is helpful. You know, never ascribe to malice what can be explained by ineptitude.

    I think, that he thinks, people with autism are either faking, or useless. As in he doesn’t get the “spectrum”. You’re either severely disabled or not autistic.

    His comments about people with autism have the whiff of eugenics about them. Most people don’t realise that was an American thing before it was a nazi thing. The next step is sterilising neurodivergent people.

      No, I truly believe it’s malice. He, and the anti-vax movement behind him, absolutely despise autistic people. They hate that they have to deal with a non-neurotypical person. Both as parents of non-neurotypicals and in day to day dealings with them. I’ve watched it in action multiple times. And everything coming out of Kennedy’s mouth is identical to what I’ve heard directly from other autistic hating anti-vaxxers.
