This is world news? USGS now says the 3.1 was only 2.9, and 2.0-3.0 earthquakes in this region are a weekly occurrence. There was a 3.1 right next door just 11 days ago, and there have been 11 earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 or higher in the same region in the past 30 days.
Yeah a 3 is hardly even perceptible. Some people claim to feel them but personally I never notice any that small. I would hardly say it rattled anything.
Damn; Colombia, LA, and Alaska all got hit.

Pacific plate probably just moving all at once. It is always moving under the NA plate, tends to wind up over a period and then release a few quakes along the fault length.
