This is me trying to find a nice place to watch the fireworks in Montreal then realize 10 minutes before it starts that I’ll have to go through that crowd when it’s over, so I just turn around and go back home pre-emptively.

Worse situation: being trapped at a family gathering in a rural relative’s compound that you are socially obliged to attend without any friend or independent mode of transport. Also, you’re expected to serve food to and clean up after creepy uncles who would shamelessly harass you in public.
I’ve abandoned families for less
I think I’d actually prefer crowds like that. There are so many people that you become insignificant and barely draw any attention.
Exactly what I was thinking
Horrible place if you need to find someone.
Perfect place when you don’t want to be found.
As if I’d go to something like that in the first place.
Image failing to load in Eternity for me… But works fine in a browser 🫤:

In large crowds there’s no need to be social, you’ve come full circle.
Exactly. Crowded street is easy to deal with than an office party.
Don’t know how it is for OP, but just being in a crowd like that would drain me instantly even if I don’t need to interact with anyone there.
That’s me too. The sheer noise of it all. The heat. The smell. Fuck all of that.
I have a theory that perfect chaos is perfect equilibrium.
In absolute chaos everything is the same because everything is perfectly equally possible.
So absolute chaos is really the same as absolute stillness.
It makes sense.
Full circle.
Aumm.
Did you get this from FromSoft games?
No, and I would like to subscribe to your patreon.

My social battery dies the moment I SEE something like this. I’d just look at that crowd, and nope right on back home.
Pfft, as if I would take my social battery to something like this.
Time to pull a Francesco Schettino and run away in a most inconspicuous manner regardless of the consequences

This wouldn’t bother me, my social battery only runs low when forced to talk to people. That’s why I work in a dark, loud spicy box.

They don’t even know
My midichlorian count
Lmao!
I stopped going to this one park that host multiple different ethnic food fests throughout the year. Every single one looks like this. They’re not fun. It’s like an hour plus wait to get to one booth, and they don’t even have the prices listed (stupidly overpriced) or the menus visible while you wait.
The whole point of those is to try multiple things, but the format kills that opportunity.
That is true with a lot of things. Same with over tourism - if I am pushed through the Collosseum with hundreds of people then fuck it, the Colosseum is not fun anymore.
