Trump wants to relabel New Mexico as New America days after changing the name of Lake Ontario to Lake Ameria

Donald Trump has already changed the name of the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Ontario, and now he’s targeting a US state for a rebrand.

Trump is spending the holiday weekend dreaming up his next demand to relabel America’s geography. He posted a map on Truth Social Sunday afternoon of New Mexico, but the word Mexico was crossed out and replaced with America.

Relabeling the southwestern state on the U.S.-Mexico border as New America is reminiscent of an executive order he signed early in his second term, in which he changed the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.

I think his obsession with renaming things is so he can have his “legacy” where people a hundred years from now will read in school how the gulf of america used to be called gulf of Mexico until Donald J Trump renamed it.

This way he can do it immediately and without any approvals or permissions from anyone else and it doesn’t cost a dime (upfront that he needs permission for, it still costs millions to remake maps and public education posters/billboards and school textbooks and government websites, etc.)

He just doesn’t have the foresight to recognize that whatever president comes next will just revert all changes.

He doesn’t care. He’s trying to tank the US in every way possible so that he and his billionaire friends can buy it up in a fire sale, and create 13-15 tech dominated duchies/kingdoms that own all the people in their borders. That’s why they only want a total of 150,000,000 people alive by the end of 2028. They think their robots will be able to control us, not realizing that they don’t work, won’t work, and we can create portable EMP devices.

They also tend to fall over on their own so I can’t imagine they’ll be particularly good combat units.

Maybe they are counting on enough low paid workers to survive in SEA so that their “robots” can be effectively long distance battle mechs.

I suppose if we have to have disutopian fascist dictators we must at least be thankful that they are very stupid. They seem to be planning for the end goal without any real idea of how they’re going to get there.

They also seem to have forgotten that the rest of the planet exists, and might take a dim view of mass genocide elste the idea spreads.

I’m not dismissing the idea that, at some point, in the future, they might have military combat robots, but in the immediate term the threat from AI will come from economic damage not from terminators.
