The thumbnail is an image of mug cakes that I make as a snack. I failed making that cake because it overflowed out of the mug.

This is the cornbread mix I get from Walmart for pretty cheap and I can make over a weeks worth of mug cake with a single bag.
It only takes me about a few minutes to make in the microwave. I make mine with milk and honey instead of water. Cheap as packet of Ramen noodles and probably more calories than ramen noodles

Never tried a mug cake, what’s your process? How long does in need to microwave?
My wife and I are occasional mug cake enjoyers. After trying a lot of recipes, this is by far the best recipe we’ve tried.
Much appreciated!
Have you ever tried replacing the veg oil with butter?
No, mostly because I’m vegan. But it still comes out delicious!
I warm up milk and honey, or water by itself for about a minute in the microwave Then mix in the make mix. After I have stuff to sort of a cake batter mix I cook it for 2 minutes at medium power level.
I do put it in for another minute on high if there’s still batter left over
It’s like 7 minutes to cook
