Gameplay videos. Music. Anything where the tempo and or physics actually matter.

I’m not a 2x man though. I’m probably usually around 1.2–1.5x. 2x just gets jittery. They’d have to be a really slow talker for that speed. I don’t usually watch content where people talk that slowly.

Talking about theory or ideas. If a video is a really wordy and theoretical one then I usually listen to it in the background. Ironically, I don’t really watch ANYTHING on YouTube anymore - I just listen to stuff

Usually ones that heavily involve music, because it really screws with the sound. Especially if there’s a lot of bass.

But I’m usually only watching at 2x because either I’m trying to watch something before work, or because the narrator is just speaking way too slowly.

I watch videos on 2x speed when they are instructional.

If its artistic, a process video, or commentary i watch on 1x

I do watch some videos at 1.5x speed…

Louis Rossman ranting at 1.0x is the equivalent of anybody else at 1.5x

Some film and visual effects breakdowns videos.

And when whoever is talking in the video presents some other clip and they 2x speed it. I have to slow to normal or slightly faster because 4x is genuinely too fast for me 98% of the time.

nah, I usually watch videos on 1x and skip through (how to’s and whatnot). if a video isn’t entertaining at the presented speed, I don’t watch it

I watch every Jake Broe video on 1.3. He talks slow.

Really, it depends. Theres plenty I speed up and plenty I watch at 1x.

It depends on content, topic, style, directing. Speedup is fine for most information consumption. When its a documentary, the directing and length often makes 1x more viable.
