Both because he helped create the material conditions that made Trump viable, but also because he and Hillary used their influence over the party to stuff every position power from local precincts to the DNC chair with devotees of their Third Way Neoliberal Ghoul politics to ensure the party would never correct course or fix the damage they’d done.
