Never mind that in those examples that they gave, none of them were elected like Trump was:
Hitler lost the election for president; but was later appointed as chancellor by the guy that won after political pressure;
Mussolini was appointed by the king after threats of paramilitary force;
Leopold II was a hereditary monarch

I would give them a pass to shit on the people here who loudly and prouly scream that they did not vote at all. Depending on the communities that you focus on, you may get the impression that every Amercan on lemmy did not vote, and just want to piss and cry that they did not get the candidate (or communist revolution) that they preferred.
