Build some electric transit infrastructure or keep dying.

    Build:

    • Busses: electric, fuel cell, hydrogen.
    • Trams
    • Metros

Start digging those subways now. You’ll thank yourself in a few years when you’re able to use them. It’s like planting trees: it takes a long while before they’re ready, so start now.

Separated bike lanes. Lots of them…No more pained stripes or sharrows. Always a wall around cars. They’re dangerous and can’t be trusted.

If it’s not a highway, then the pedestrian crossings are raised. Speed bumps early and often. Daylighting is mandatory. Crosswalks are staggered start with it being pedestrians, then bikes, then cars when the light changes.

Charge the fuck out of gas based cars. Charge hella lots for automobiles on rubber tires driving public roads. Even EVs generate masses of plastic for your lungs.

Never issue a permit for a suburban style neighborhood again. If you want to live in the country, go live in the country.

Unfortunately people would rather die and be emotionally satisfied than be uncomfortable for a while.

We are ruled by large children and idiots.

I moved to the Pacific Northwest about 15 years ago and since it rains here so much, the air is cleaner. I’ve noticed impressive improvements from that in the time since. I feel like I can even breathe more than before.

Exhaust fumes also makes you considerably dumber, the effects are immediate and long lasting and renew every time you get a whiff.

Which explains a lot about the USA when you consider their dependency on cars.
