I’m all ears if you see a way but I can’t see one now. It’s uncovered. That’s what a tundra is. A place where it doesn’t stay warm long enough for trees to grow.

Perhaps tunnels in the snow during the winter? I don’t know if Groenland gets enough precipitations for that. But what do you do in the summer?
