It means that medicine is still in the dark ages despite what media would have you believe, and we should be funding reasearch at a much higher level to truly understand. Right now most of medicine is based on trial and error. They often don’t really know why one thing works and another doesn’t. They also often have no idea what the root cause of may issues is… autism is a popular example. IBS is another. Mental illness is also not truly understood by medicine. Just categorized by its effects, and what treatments seem to help.
They do, just in a different sub. Most seem to be in hotels though. And they don’t stay in one place very long.
