    I wouldn’t call it a war crime because there’s no war in which the crime was committed. It’s just plain state sponsored murder.

    When Mohammed bin Salman ordered the death of Jamal Khashoggi, I didn’t think of that as a war crime, either. Just a simple case of state sponsored murder.

      You don’t need an official war to commit war crimes. The US hasn’t declared war since WWII, but I don’t think anyone would say the My Lai massacre wasn’t a war crime.
