I’ve personally seen a strong correlation between ingesting DMHO and autism. This is why I only give my children mashed potato mix now.
A lot of eye-opening info here

Seriously, read it.
I can also recommend his books “Arithmetic” and “Measurement”.
An elephant? Why not the wooly mammoth?
All I know is that I now completely understand why the T-Rex was so aggressive all the time.
how that created babies
Exactly how wasn’t known anywhere before1875, however most humans through history seem to have had some idea of there being a connection between sex and pregnancy. I remember reading about isolated island peoples having other ideas, like the Trobriand people who believed that an ancestral spirit entered the woman’s body and that sex had nothing to do with it. However this article claims those reports are half-true at best; the Trobriand people apparently considers sex necessary for the formation of the fetus, even if it’s not the primary cause. There’s also some speculation that humans became aware of the relationship between sex and pregnancy after the domestication of dogs because of their shorter gestation period. Ultimately, we’ll never know…
Genesis 38:8-10
Juda, therefore, said to Onan his son: Go in to thy brother’s wife and marry her, that thou mayst raise seed to thy brother. He knowing that the children should not be his, when he went in to his brother’s wife, he spilled his seed upon the ground, lest children should be born in his brother’s name. And therefore the Lord slew him, because he did a detestable thing[.]
In all seriousness, since apes do it (a lot), I don’t think there ever were a “first person in history”. It’s more just a consequence of having long enough arms.
A lot of assumptions here… clearly this is going nowhere.
As a general rule, where quality of output is important, AI is mostly useless. (There are a few notable exceptions, like transcription for instance.)
Well, perhaps you and the people you know do actual important work?
There’s a podcast I lesten to, to improve parenting that runs a workshop called “taming your triggers”.
Podcast name? Thanks for the tips here
I’m guessing the reason that The Cure (debut LP from 1979) is on this list is that it was made by an american, that first heard them because of “Friday I’m in Love”?
My brain: 4/6 of those are 80s bands
.ra files taught me why proprietary is a bad word.
Oh, of course…but why the car? Because there’s a car bomb, IRA-style?
I’d love to understand this joke, could someone explain?
As I said in a different thread recently, the only issue is that the name “vaccine” has been tainted in the minds of idiots. Rebrand it as “natural immune system therapy” or something, and market it as something the establishment is firmly against, and they’d be lining up to get it.
None of these people understand what vaccines actually do.
Just off the top of my head, probably forgot a lot of great bands.
I remember listening to Nevermind for probably the first time while playing computer games. I thought the CD (new technology for me at the time) had broken and started chewing the disc like an old tape
And with locked grooves, metal machine music for instance has a loop on the innermost groove on side D so it can be played infinitely. There’s also records with only loops made with locked grooves.
One band pressed the sound of a C64 BASIC program onto vinyl that could be recorded onto tape and loaded with the c64 tape deck. All sorts of shenanigans.
It’s an empty Beatles reference.
