I like how Stacy is prepared for this emergency in the inflatable raft in the lake up in the snow-capped mountains. She brought her bathing suit and had time to put it on!
FTA:
The Tennessee Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition (TIRRC) said in a statement that it had seen people affected struggling to get help from authorities.
“TIRRC staff members who deployed to the area witnessed community members struggling to access interpretation services from local and state government agencies, as well as requests by agencies for identification and documentation from immigrant community families that hindered their ability to identify missing loved ones,” the group said in a statement.
Oh well that fucking sucks. Way to use your talents for evil.
The literal hero we need right now.
McBurney’s ruling would allow abortions through at least 20 weeks of pregnancy.
Fuck. Yes. Sometimes it takes awhile to discover major problems.
Oh wow, that’s interesting insight, thanks for the details. I’m in Texas and it’s like a pissing contest between Abbott & Desantis to be the most shitty state.
PSA for those in the US; the Urgent Care type places that advertise “ER” in their title will be absurdly more expensive than “regular” Urgent Care places that do not advertise as such.
The reason is that the “ER” places have actual ER type equipment, but regardless if you use them or not, you will be charged as such.
Maybe this is common knowledge, but we learned the hard way when my partner went in for something very benign and we received a $1,000 bill, even though we had insurance.
These “ER” places are popping up everywhere, and there’s nothing to tell you that if you go down the road a block or so, it could make the difference between a cheaper co-pay and owing the full amount. In our case, almost $1,000.
I saw a Vice (I think) piece about this. Basically Desantis really took an interest in this one random college and has steamrolled all over it. They interviewed students who thought they were going to one school, but everything changed not long after they got there.
But it’s so fucking weird that he’s focusing all this energy on this small school. I don’t want to go full tinfoil hat, but this is so random.
So basically he’s Peter Thiel minus the Titanic stuff.
Has it ever been confirmed that he only identifies as being attracted to leather couches? I was of the impression he didn’t have a particular type, but I could be wrong.
My immediate thought as well.
Thank god it’s not just me. I had to re-read it 10 times.
No shit? All time? That’s quite the compliment! I don’t recall if I’ve listened to that one, I have most of them, but I’ll have to go back and check. If I haven’t listened, I’ll queue it up!
I’ve never seen the signs allowing you to opt out, so this is good info.
But to add onto this topic - what is up when 2 people walk down a designated walkway while in line and the officer follows alongside them with the dog?
Just ordered mine! Thanks, OP!
