Well, multiple of my relatives and if you count discrimination as abuse, then ~30% of people I met throughout my whole life. Yes, I know it wasn’t actually a question.

And all my cynical comments aside, I know it’s probably about society’s unreasonable expectations and people using you for their own advantage (even indirectly).

My advice to people reading books like this is to tell more people (who objectively deserve it) to go fuck themselves and be nice and compassionate only to people who deserve it (who want to help others and don’t fuck others over for their own advantage/ feeling of superiority).
