But in your use case why does the coffee maker have to connect to the internet?
I have people in myblife who say ice already sold out to Google might as well continue using them. I don’t fight them they can do what they want.

Sure but there are lots of companies that don’t provide source code for their GPL software. And nothing happens.
No. Everything is spying. Look at what Gamers Nexus said LG makes more money selling data then selling TVs.
2·5 days agoSo do dishwashers in North America they are just less powerful because of the 120 volt.
It’s just to get the hot water flowing in the hot water line. So your dishwasher doesn’t get as much cold water as it would other wise.
North America vs Europe, North America cannot heat the water fast enough due to the limit of being on a 120V and 15 A circuit.
Not USA but North America and we ours is hooked to hot water. Has to do with having a shitty heating element since they wanted it to be plugged into 120 15A circuit.
And its all closed source and propretieary. So no one would know.
Like a plan get something accepted then make it spy on you.
Gadget bridge does have that functionality though.

3·8 days agoThe other issue with data harvesting is there is no time limit. They just collect and store it forever.
But what are they hiding there?
I knew and I didn’t care still don’t about some things. And I know others who have an idea but don’t care. I’d say right now I’m more anti american then anything else aobtrying to move away from their companies.
