I’ve seen your other comments, and it seems like you’re sour over getting downvoted because you weren’t able to notice a subtle difference that’s not easily obvious.
Personally, I like to be strict with the downvote button. It’s just something I picked up (and miss) from old Reddit: there used to be a strict culture on the site, which would lead to a high influx of relevant quality content.
In contrast, I saw a post on !lemmyshitpost@lemmy.world yesterday about the theistic breakdown of the American demographic. It was a cool graph, but not a shitpost; yet it had still gained more upvotes than downvotes.
Ultimately, I don’t think you should worry about it, as these votes matter even less on Lemmy than they do on Reddit.

No, I am sour because people can’t fucking read and insert what they think I’m saying instead of responding to what I wrote.
I didn’t feel the need to say it because @wander1236@sh.itjust.works had already written a reply explaining it. All I could have done was paraphrase their explanation and create unnecessary cruft.
Well what you said wasn’t exactly an opinion, it was an incorrect statement. The yellow border indicates that the person who was pinged took the photo.
They are right that the hive mind is stupid for down voting a post that states they don’t see what the other person sees. I still can’t even tell the screenshot in the post has a yellow tint, but take others words for being able to tell the difference.
The highlighting is really hard to see without a contrast from the regular background color, and to be honest I never noticed the bright yellow stripe down the side.
Not sure why you’re being downvoted. Unless I’m missing something it’s just stupid Lemmy hive mind
Because they’re incorrect. The original message has a yellow tint in the background, which is only present for accounts that get mentioned.

Apparently I’m wrong about what something looks like to me.

You could have kept your pie hole shut when you saw that there was a response that clarified what I wasn’t seeing.
I did “keep my piehole shut”. I hadn’t replied to your comment. Instead, I replied to a different user.
Also, it is pretty apparent that you don’t want to have a respectful discussion. Disengage.

“That cloud looks like a dinosaur to me.”
[The cloud wasn’t actually a dinosaur. Down vote this punk.]
downvoting this purely cause it would be funni
Luv you too boo! 😘
Exactly this!
I was incorrect about what something looked like to me?
Ok.
Try to make sure you’re in the right before calling other people stupid.

Guys, fellas, dudes, and I mean that in an explicitly gendered way:
Shut up you’re all dumb, everyone is except for me.
Thank you. I still don’t see the difference, but at least someone explained it after my comment
