    This isn’t rare or increasing, it’s just that one generation is now in the age bracket for it. “Gen alpha is seeing a surge in highschool graduations” would be equally likely in the near future. It’s not surprising, it’s a long-standing trend associated with age.

      Did you have a rebuttal to the specific claims in this article, like chlamydia (plus gonorrhea, syphilis) tripling among seniors in the past decade? It certainly sounds like it’s increasing to me, but I’m not an expert on this

        I don’t, I’ll have to look more into it. Having (somewhat recently) done work in nursing homes, I personally didn’t view this as a new problem, but my information could be biased or outdated.
