A newly unveiled statue of the rightwing activist Charlie Kirk was vandalized at the Turning Point USA headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona.
The statue was found with red spray-paint. A nearby poster memorial in front of the statue was vandalized with red paint as well.

Funny, I saw the post in a conservative sub. Both highly upvoted, but probably not for the same reasons.

Instead of a statue, I think a fitting tribute would be to segregate population of a town into “us” and “them”, build a wall, then establish a Checkpoint Charlie at the crossing. You know, follow historically tried ideas.

He died doing what he loved, celebrating gun violence.
Now if someone would also drill a nice hole into the statue.
why go after the statue?
That’s the wrong question to ask here. We definitely don’t need to address the underlying issue of why someone would do this. What we really need is more good guys with paint cans who can paint over the bad guys’ paint. If we add more paint to the equation we can definitely stop statues from being painted.

I was just being facetious and callous towards the people clutching pearls over this (thanks Charlie for teaching us this is the best way to engage on social issues). Not really arguing your point!
