I got to hand cut the stringers. I measured everything out with a framing square. It was all very confusing and then it just clicked, so that’s nice.

    It would be fewer cuts and fewer measurements if it was right out at the end. So quicker and easier. I’m used to using a depth gauge and combo square and I like to throw in a bit of “le fine woodworking” when I play carpenter 🤠

      FYI, you fucked your stingers up, that notch made your throat whatever that cut depth is, and the square notch is a place for the stinger to split.

      You put it at the front (ahead of minimum throat) or lay your stairs on it.

          If you’re in a fair weather place it may be fine, you can also screw a board on the inside of the stringer to double it up.

          Inspection could fail if there’s one.
