Review Brah’s weekly reports are the one sane center in my hurly burly world.
"Hell-o, everyonnnne!
You just read that in my voice, didn’t you?"
That man needs a properly fitted suit.
A big suit is part of his style though.
Is it not proper? There are many different styles of suits, maybe he just likes the classic american bulky fit
A decade ago, I assumed things would probably get worse, but goddamn I didn’t think it would happen this fast.
So much is getting better, social media and negativity bias in general is just making it seem like it’s not.
Just for example, percentage of green energy is steadily rising. Even if it is not fast enough, that is still a constant improvement.
Linux!
Emulation.
Uhh, theres good indie games…Foss projects.
Is there more? Maybe medical advancements no one can afford.
Linux GAMING
Ah good one3! I couldn’t imagine Linux gaming 20 years ago when I first tried it.
So true.
Switching to Linux and Android makes me feel excited for new technology again. I did not felt that in a long time. All the software is just how it should be. No kings, no masters to appease–just the will to make something helpful. Also the homebrew community is real fun, hacked my DSi and Wii and I love how they reverse engineered a lot of servers that were shut down. Its small but fun–just the fact that we are all on a server that should not exists from all over the world brings me joy.
exactly my experience. Made computing fun after being a slog for years!
Offline hobbies are getting more love again. Carpentry, sewing and knitting, bird watching. Modding old consoles is one of my all-time faves.
Oh for sure. A good article here explains my take-basically yeah it all sucks but I’m gonna live my life doing things I like.
That’s my motto as well. Life is too short to live in constant fear, and we can control so little of it. Take as many PTO days as you can.
Totally. Do what we can to inform and build community but try to keep world news to a minimum…realistically we can’t change it.
My issue with this is this is an opportunity for someone with money to start up alternatives that are built on the principles of “it lasts”!
It’s not that hard, make the OS open source, we already have alpine linux, busybox, debian, etc, then build the basic functions in and those who can extend things, will!
On the hardware side, use screws rather than clips, offer downloadable pdf’s with schematics, all this used to get done and dropped because profits! If I had the money I have a decent idea on how I’d start this up so who knows, there’s a few small things I’d like to learn to design/build and think maybe it’ll be sellable so who knows, maybe in 6/12 months and i’ve paid off a few debts i’ll build something useful.
Things that last cost more and sell less. Capitalism doesn’t reward the best products.
i love this guy. his best videos are of him being consistently disappointed in the quality of his taco bell meals.
His face had kind of shaped into handsome squidward over the years

Cats kill a lot of birds. And birds are way cooler than cats
I just put a camera on my cat to see what he’s upto when he goes outside - zero birds or mice killed so far. Boy just likes running
I know cats, breed into a form to be nearly unable to breathe, that won’t catch any birds either.
Unfortunately single cat stories aren’t an argument against statistics.
