Mum and Dad Buffy Fish Owl know that Hornbills also go for non-fruit-meal options. But their baby is bigger than a happy meal, so that should be OK.
Yeah, I’d be curious to know more about the encounter. They’re both pretty large birds, and while they have some prey overlap, I’m not sure if it’d be enough to make them get territorial with each other as the hornbill has a much more flexible diet. I wonder if it was just curiosity on the hornbill’s part.
