Buffy Fish Owl young one got a visit from the Oriental Pied Hornbill; a little too close of a visit. Mum and dad were watching closely nearby.
Yeah, I’d be curious to know more about the encounter. They’re both pretty large birds, and while they have some prey overlap, I’m not sure if it’d be enough to make them get territorial with each other as the hornbill has a much more flexible diet. I wonder if it was just curiosity on the hornbill’s part.
