Absolutely. I’d love to see local LLMs completely destroy the platforms, and take the cloud computing behemoths with them while they’re at it.
So while I’m skeptical of the training methods and incentives behind using any LLM (I was and am similarly skeptical of Kubernetes or any kind of “yaml engineering” to put it in perspective), I don’t think the technology itself is necessarily pernicious.
