    I’m convinced this is deliberate. We are not facing a skynet situation, AI is not going rogue. This is shitty security during user initiated testing that they did not fully understand.

    They want us to think that AGI is around the corner and so publicizing these hacks is doing that work in the uninformed public’s mind. I’ve had to explain to several people the reality of these attacks, but even now, watching the news, they are trying to scare us with made up stories of out of control AI.

    Clearly investors aren’t bying into the whole AGI singularity sketch anymore, so now they’re selling the hackerman myth. Gotta keep those investments coming like a bouncing castle needs constant air.

          Technically it still does. However, out of respect for the community, in future I will be more careful and not add to the title (even though I have done the same multiple times before and never had an issue). Out of respect for you personally, I have restored the original title to this post.

          I have to say though, I’m not sure I will be posting in this community again — not over this issue, but upon reading the rules, some of them don’t sit right with me. Rule 5 in particular says:

          Keep it civil. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.

          To me, that amounts to saying “Well it’s perfectly fine to slag off someone who isn’t here to defend themselves, but nope you’re not allowed to do it to someone who is” 🤨

            Thanks. I just didn’t want your post to get deleted over something that’s a quick fix. If you’ve done it before without a post being removed, it’s likely that no one noticed and reported it.
