I used to do security in a building like this across from SeaTac overnight. I used to stop in the empty office to watch the rain fall down on the city from on high.
place haunted by the ghosts of workers who haven’t been hired yet
Some floors go through phases of occupancy. It’s a government-hired building and every now and then an agency will pop up, and either survive, grow and go off to find another space or be mothballed and it becomes empty again.
The 7 floors of staff above (or at least those feeling social) piled in there earlier in the day for a morning tea so it becomes slightly less liminal during those times. Kinda. Still feels weird being in an empty office with hundreds of other people.
Is this where Bruce met God?
