Speaking at the Aspen Ideas Festival, the billionaire tech investor said the Vatican’s concerns could discourage America in the AI arms race, warned of a democratic-socialist takeover and explained why he named Palantir after JRR Tolkien’s treacherous seeing stones.
Peter Thiel is literally insane. The money has gone to his head, much the same way it happened to Elon Musk.
The research is very clear in this field, becoming so rich that you are always surrounded by yes people makes you delusional very quickly, and over time the delusions accumulate to become outright insanity.
The possibility of becoming a billionaire needs to end. It is harmful both to the individual and to society.
I don’t think that’s quite the same mechanism. People can be crazy without being rich too.
The crazy in the avarage MAGA crowd is probably for many founded in unconscious fear. But yes they are also delusional.
Targeted deflation. 2% deflation per year. Guts assets and increases the value of production over financialization. You need to produce more than 2% to be worth sinking money into. Kill zombie businesses. Debt becomes a serious consideration rather than a thing you do as the normal. Need to pull the pin on 120 years of foolishness

No it doesn’t it increases the value of them, exactly opposite to inflation that gut financial assets, which is why they generally have an interest.
With deflation you don’t need any interest rate, for your financial assets to gain value.
lol kind of but not exactly. It’s not the money itself, or the hoarding, it’s the sense of being right that stem from the ability to hoard successfully, and people around them that support that sense. It gives a sense that they understand things they really don’t, and that they can do things themselves that it is really people around them that do for them.

He’s behind the whole coup of the United States and wants to usher in a bunch of Network State monarchies ruled by CEO-kings.
And Americans let him feel safe doing so
yeah but Thiel is not a thrillionaire…yet
AFAIK Musk is the only trilionaire, but the effect can also happen way before a billion.
I see it happen with people making 35k a year look at maga

I was a billionaire last week. It is way over-rated, I went back.
Meme stocks are a hell of a drug, eh?
