forwarding can fail

how so?

i just connect to POP and get everything in bulk

That can also fail.

forwarding changes the original headers

if i forward spam my provider gets pissed

Both these things are fixable with standard mailing software.

PS: I also don’t see why this forwarding-or-fetching is necessary at all. It’s easy to maintain several email addresses on any device.
