Now he says they will actually stop making cars and the price goes up again. We all knew it’s a scam but this is beyond stupid. They will pivot to a product there’s barely any market for and people still think this company is worth billions…

As for the idea itself, someone published link to article about automated phone factory the other day. It didn’t have Optimus like robots. No company will use them. If you need to automate specific thing it’s way cheaper to make a custom robot for that than to try to use humanoid robot.
