A federal immigration officer has shot and killed a man in Minneapolis, drawing hundreds of protesters onto the frigidly cold streets in a city already shaken by another fatal shooting weeks earlier.
I don’t think mamadami will be able to control the police well either though. Not sure how they do the city council. I know other cities that have gotten a strong left mayor the business get the city council to strip them of power and give it to a city manager if a mayor tries to take on the cops, or supports striking workers.
Minneapolis is 450K population and you see the protests there. What do you think NYC will look like under the same pressure?
