I don’t know if this is the norm for other countries websites to do the same, but this seems kind of out of place for me. Is there is a reason, norm or is it related for something I don’t know?

Shouldn’t official government websites be only concerned about the people actually employed at them and decision makers?

As far as I know, the White House website before trump(in Biden era) didn’t have really a considerable amount of news related to Jill Biden.

I can’t say the same for Donald Trump, as he turned government websites into a circus, but before him there was almost no news releases about USA first lady in the white house website.

Note: I might be ignorant at the topic, as I am talking about the news releases in Biden administration specifically.
